What turns up

Most dolls here are under $30, and plenty of played-with ones are $5–$15. Boxed and collector pieces cost more, but we price against what we paid, not against the resale market — so they are generally well under what the same doll lists for online.

Collector or just want a doll?

Both are welcome. If you are hunting a particular character or edition, call or text and ask — stock turns over daily and the grid above only shows a slice of it. If you are restoring or customising, the loose and played-with dolls are the cheap end of the shop and a good source of bodies, heads and spare outfits.

Common questions

Where can I buy vintage or collectible dolls in Chicago?

Jojin's Kitty Thrift Shop at 4100 N Pulaski Rd carries around 250 secondhand dolls at a time, including Barbie collector editions, Bratz, Monster High, Lalaloopsy, Cabbage Patch Kids and vintage and porcelain dolls. Open Monday through Saturday, 10am to 7pm.

Do you sell vintage Barbie dolls?

Yes, as they come in — both loose Barbies and boxed collector editions such as Happy Holidays and the American Stories series. Which ones are in stock changes constantly; the live inventory above is the accurate picture.

How much do the dolls cost?

Most are under $30, and many played-with dolls are $5 to $15. Boxed and collector pieces cost more, but we price against what we paid rather than the resale market.

Are the dolls new or used?

Almost everything is secondhand and sold as-is. A few arrive new in box, and the listing says so when they do. You are welcome to look any doll over in person before you buy it.
