Mostly dolls, mostly 90s and 2000s

This section skews heavily toward fashion dolls from roughly 1995 to 2010 — the Happy Holidays Barbies, Bratz in their original outfits, bride dolls and the licensed character dolls that came and went. Some are loose, some are still boxed, and the boxed ones are priced accordingly.

What turns up

“NRFB” on a listing means never removed from box. If it says that here, it means it — and it is the reason that piece costs more than the loose one next to it.

Why this shelf is worth checking twice

Vintage toys arrive in batches, usually from a single household clearing out at once. That means the shelf can be thin one week and full of one specific era the next. If you collect a particular line, calling ahead is worth more than browsing the site.

Finding us

4100 N Pulaski Rd, just north of Irving Park Rd in Old Irving Park. Easy from Portage Park, Avondale, Albany Park and Logan Square, with street parking usually right out front.

Common questions

Where can I buy vintage toys in Chicago?

Jojin's Kitty Thrift Shop at 4100 N Pulaski Rd keeps a rotating vintage toy section, weighted toward fashion dolls from the 1990s and 2000s. Open Monday through Saturday, 10am to 7pm.

Do you have vintage Barbie dolls?

Regularly, yes — including Happy Holidays and Special Edition pieces, some still boxed. Which dolls are in stock changes constantly, so the live inventory above is the accurate picture.

What does NRFB mean?

NRFB means never removed from box — the doll has not been opened since it was packaged. Boxed pieces are priced higher than loose ones for that reason, and we only use the term when it is accurate.
